Singapore-headquartered global technology research firm sustains its rapid growth trajectory in 2019 with addition of one of APJ’s leading ICT strategists

19 February 2019, SINGAPOREEcosystm, a Singapore-headquartered global technology research and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Craig Baty, a luminary within Asia-Pacific’s ICT arena, as Principal Advisor, IT Services & Digital Transformation. He brings with him more than three decades of experience providing counsel on ICT strategy to some of the world’s biggest organisations, both as a vendor and consultant. Based in Sydney, Australia, Craig adds to Ecosystm’s strong line-up of industry leading analysts in ICT and digital transformation.

Craig was most recently Vice President, Global Strategy and Digital Services Group at Fujitsu. Based in the corporate headquarters in Japan, he acted as the key interface for the US$14billion international business. Prior to his role at Fujitsu, he spent more than a decade on the research and consultancy side with Gartner, holding roles as diverse as CEO Gartner Japan, and Group VP/Global Chief of Research, Technology and Service Providers.

Outside the office, Craig is a prolific industry speaker, and has presented at over 1,500 events globally. Amit Gupta, Founder and CEO at Ecosystm, said: “We are excited to welcome Craig into the fold, at what is a very interesting time for the global ICT industry in the midst of rapid transformation and industry disruption. As a research firm with the goal of establishing a strong global network of industry players, Craig’s experience as a business leader managing cross cultural teams will also be invaluable as we continue to scale globally.”

Craig Baty, Principal Advisor at Ecosystm added: “Having worked in and with some of the world’s leading technology organisations both as an analyst and C-level executive, Ecosystm’s business model, built on the principles of transparency, autonomy and accessibility is one that refreshingly goes against the grain. I am excited and honoured to be able to work alongside some of the industry’s most respected analysts globally.”

The addition of Craig puts Ecosystm well on track in its growth roadmap for the year. A series of high profile appointments precede Craig’s, including: Manoj Menon, formerly MD APAC of Frost & Sullivan as Principal Advisor; and Anika Grant, Global HR Leader of Uber’s Global Core Business, as a board advisor.
